Caring and Storage
Care of Moon Pads is easy. Simply soak immediately after use in cold water, then rinse before washing in the usual family wash. Always use cold water to soak and rinse as hot water will 'set' any stains.
Many
women find it helpful to keep a small covered bucket of water in the
bathroom. Pads can then soak until it is time to do the washing. Over 90% of
women find that just the cold water soak removes all stains. (some women use
the rinse water on their garden)
But don't panic if soaking in plain cold water is insufficient to remove any stains ... experiment with adding washing soda, lemon juice, milk, salt or a commercial pre-wash product to the soak water... and use what best suits your body chemistry.
Do NOT use chlorine bleaches.
Before using for the first time pads should be hot machine washed to remove dressings and residues from the fabric manufacturing process.
Warning: ironing or tumble drying may damage nylon layer of water-proof (stress-incontinence) pads.
We also sell a Moon Pouch – a discrete purse with waterproof lining, convenient for women on the move. The Moon Pouch holds two pads in separate pockets.
